Theraprints

2024- current

Theraprints is a student-run non-profit that was set up in 2024 by like-minded peers with the aim of using 3D printing technology to improve seniors daily life quality. We collaborated by initially visiting local rehabilitation and senior-living centers to understand the needs of seniors in their daily life. Through discussions and dialogue with senior citizens, we identified a list of small items that are hindering their daily chores, such as a walking stick holder attached to a wheelchair so that the senior can be hands-free while on their wheelchair, versus holding on the walking stick and juggling maneuvering the wheelchair. Many such practical solutions and ideas for items were identified. Following that these items are designed using CAD program, and then 3D printed.
